Key summary

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), specifically the Consumer Protection Crime Prevention Division (BK.PCPB) under the command of Police General Natsak Chaoanasi and led by Police Colonel Kritsraporn Pantrong, raided a clandestine production site for counterfeit rubber tree face supplements in Suphan Buri province. The operation was executed by a team including Deputy Colonels Samrong Amparnthong, Chatthan Nakkaew, Phakphum Sirilaphamats, Anuwat Rakcharoen, Chatchai Chuachayacharin, and Sumormue Thai Khiao, along with Investigating Police Captain Thanasat Sipiphat and his deputies. The investigation began after intelligence indicated that a group was manufacturing fake face supplements for rubber trees under a famous brand name and smuggling them via private courier companies in Suphan Buri. Officers observed a woman delivering packages by car; upon inspection of the vehicle and parcels, they found counterfeit products using another party's trademarks, Ethephon chemical, and packaging materials. A subsequent raid at the suspects' residence in Suphan Buri revealed mixing equipment, foil sealing machines, empty bottles, and numerous fake labels, with the total value of seized goods estimated at 300,000 baht. The modus operandi involved moving mixing tanks, chemicals, Ethephon, and packaging to the back of a pickup truck to mix, fill, and label products off-site to evade detection before handing them over to couriers. The owner of the legitimate brand confirmed that the seized items were counterfeit and that the trademarks used were forged. All seized items were confiscated, samples sent for analysis to the Department of Agriculture's laboratory, and the case forwarded to the investigating officers at BK.PCPB for legal action.
