Tom Kruesothon Criticizes Dr. Karadee for Using Harsh Language in Politics

Key summary

Tom Kruesothon, a prominent businessman also known as Julapas Kruesothon, has publicly criticized Dr. Karadee Liewpairoj, a member and candidate for the House of Representatives from the Pheu Thai Party (noted in source as 'Pheu Thai' contextually via opposition to Democrat Party but text explicitly mentions 'Dr. Karadee' as Democrat Party member; correction: source says 'สมาชิกและผู้สมัคร สส. พรรคประชาธิปัตย์' meaning Dr. Karadee is a Democrat Party MP/candidate). Tom expressed disapproval of Dr. Karadee's use of strong language such as calling opponents 'hwaet' (bad), 'lew' (evil), and 'ngoe' (stupid), stating that such remarks are inappropriate for a representative of the people. He warned against treating politics like entertainment ('entertainment thipat') and urged Dr. Karadee to reflect on her words. Tom referenced the Democrat Party's historical role, mentioning figures he respects like Chuan Leekpai and Korn Jatkawich. He noted that under Abhisit Vejjajiva's leadership as Prime Minister, the country did not progress, citing the death of over 90 people during protests as a painful legacy tied to that period. Tom acknowledged Dr. Karadee's capability but cautioned her against using harsh rhetoric in parliament, especially during debates on lack of confidence. He also mentioned Anutin Charnvirakul's response to similar situations and noted the decline in the number of seats held by the party he referenced (from hundreds to over ten). The video message was posted by Tom to directly address Dr. Karadee.
